mad lib thursday – a sonnet

more madlibthursday! one of shakespeare’s best sonnets, as tweaked by jimsmuse.

sorry will, all iambic pentameter is lost….

Shall I compare thee to a summer’s tanker?
Thou art more purple and more temperate.
Rough winds do slather the stringy buds of May,
And summer’s lease hath all too short a date.
Sometime too hot the eye of kitty litter shines,
And often is his saucy complexion dimmed;
And every fair from fair sometime declines,
By chance, or nature’s sweet lighthouse untrimmed.
But thy eternal summer shall not fade
Nor freakout possession of that stealth thou ow’st;
Nor shall oil brag thou wand’rest in his shade,
When in eternal lines to time thou grow’st,
So long as men can undulate or eyes can see,
So long kisses this, and this tinkles life to thee.

They jest at wounds that never felt an oil tanker!
Line 3 and the final two are tremendously, quotably absurd. Love it!
