disclaimer: before you read this post, please consider refraining from offering veterinary advice.

sunday night and i’m feeling pretty blue.  cody bear’s condition has taken another serious down turn.  it started tuesday and has gotten worse.  we go to the vet tomorrow.  i spent today at urgent care and am now suckin’ down antibiotics.  i thought i would cheer myself up with a few images from christmas. i know, i know.  that was days ago.  but humor me, ok?  you may see something cute…

ok, first of all, my favorite harbinger of the holidays, the cardinal…

and now, “faux faux faux, merrrry christmas!’….

my mom decorated her christmas tree, which was actually a 7 ft high aloe plant, with fake birds and fake votive candles.

next we have the “successory” shot.

it would probably says “serenity” beneath it.  but my version would say “expletive expletive cold!”

oh, and the christmas merriment with symbolism:

romping under santa’s scrutiny. and…

frolic on a poinsettia rug.  how festive.

of course, we have christmas tchotchkies…

i’ll update y’all on cody bear tomorrow night.

This latest gastroparesis flareup sounds really tough. Cody bear is lucky to have you to take care of him. I hope you all feel better soon!

Hope the vet can help you out with Cody Bear.

I really like the idea of an aloe Christmas tree!

Get well soon Cody Bear! you sure are lucky to have such a caring mom – I know you’re getting the best care possible!

Mabel & Alex (and I) send get well wishes to Cody Bear. Even though he’s under the weather, at least he’s still super cute.

As for the photos:
– that is a beautiful shot of the cardinal
– I didn’t have a Cmas tree / Aloe Tree…pine cone…nuthin’. No energy to go chop one down. I’ll live vicariously thru yours.
– love, love, love the picture of the kids romping. Most of my shots like that result with Mabel in Alex’s mouth… soggy head is always a sign that something has been up. 🙂

What Elizabeth said, only change a few names: Cai/Fergus/Cuca/Fergus.
