you may have noticed a certain bear is getting ….um…greyish.
but it doesn’t seem to bother him. he’s not a very vain cody bear. plus, he still acts like a playful, young dog. also, i still think he gets cuter every day!
now here he is in may of 06:
a pretty bear with a black muzzle.
he certainly isn’t slowing down any, just becoming more dashing.

hi everyone! ready for the weekend?
i’m not at peace right now because some of my friends think i’m actually deeper than i probably am. so, i thought i would confess some things here…on my blog, for all the world (ok, just a couple hundred people) to see.
1. i watch survivor…and big brother. alot of my friends say they don’t watch tv, they read. that’s cool. but i watch some fluffy television. i’m at peace with that.
2. my two celebrity crushes are gordon buchanen and jeff probst. there, ….i said it. now i will just sit back and wait for one of them to call me.
3. i failed as a vegan because i love pizza toooo much. sorry cows.
4. i don’t know the capitals of many u.s. states.
hmmm. that’s all i can think of now. i’ know there’s more dark and ugly secrets…i just can’t remember them.
now….what you really want to know is….”how are those crazy dogs of yours, goodbear?”

she’s a miniature cody bear, of sorts!
i was sitting at my desk in my office. i looked up and there was this dog, about 1/3 cody bear’s size, walking into my office. she was at the studio to get her picture taken. and i have to say, she is as soft and snuggly as the bear.
and her mom is as crazy about her as i am about the bear!

and there was much rejoicing.
and there were orange chocolate cupcakes.

and there were fat tires.
and there was a very happy bear. i took him to the book store and to the liquor shop so he could get cuddled by strangers. (he loves that!) but no one would give him the time of day. they at least gave him a cookie at the liquor shop.
then a few friends dropped by throughout the evening to rub his belly and comment on how much weight he has gained. we all agree…he looks great. it’s been a struggle to keep weight on him for years.
i think he had a good day.

well, we tried. we went all holistic-y with cody bear’s gastroparesis. and it worked for a couple months. but now, with a new and hopefully temporary ailment, he had to go on prednisone. i have a fear of prednisone.
here he is at the vet, being all cute and cautious…
his home work: bed rest.
my home work: keep him from playing with pickles and running around the back yard h.o.p. (hell on paws). and…she says i have to stay positive. he can sense i’m worried and it is stressing him out.
me? worried? puh-lease! i’m the picture of calm….
i did take each of the doglets on their first walks today. they both did very well, but i must say, i got wiped out. it’s the first walks i have gone on since i got sick. hopefully i’ll bounce back into my old self by monday.
you know…my calm self.
